A blindfolded interactive maze where your senses awaken, and a living creature responds to your touch.
An explorer journeys through a desolate world in search of life, drawn by an unseen force into a cavern of darkness.
There, their touch awakens Omu, an ancient being of life long buried in silence.
Guided by Omu’s echoing voice, the explorer forms a profound connection with the creature, their union unfolding like a long-awaited ritual.
Through this bond, life is restored to the cavern, and with its source renewed, the world above begins to bloom once more, continuing a sacred cycle of rebirth.
The world invites players into the unknown with warmth rather than fear.
Darkness and visual deprivation are not threats, but spaces for curiosity and discovery—encouraging players to lean in, not retreat.
Creatures are not obstacles or enemies, but living presences.
Interaction replaces confrontation, forming a sense of coexistence where the environment responds gently to the player’s actions.
Meaning is conveyed without words.
Through movement, proximity, rhythm, and response, players communicate and connect—creating an inclusive experience that transcends language.
Art by Shunran Shen
Omu is a tri-elemental creature of land, sea, and sky, colored in soft gradients of white, blue, and violet that mirror its environment.
Its form is shaped by interaction rather than function: the tail emerges from gentle entwining, the wings echo the gesture of an embrace, and the head carries the soft, lazy warmth of a feline presence.
Omu is not meant to be fully revealed, but slowly understood through connection.
The chosen card is Judgement
Omu sounds the horn, echoing the angelic call of the Judgement card—a moment of awakening and action.
Rather than a verdict, it represents the turning point where both Omu and the player find the courage to explore the unknown.
Omu’s snow-white body creates visual contrast, while its tail guides the eye toward the human figure below, linking creature and player within the composition.
The first pass was executed by Shunran Shen. Due to printing constraints, the color palette was limited to black, white, and gray.
Additional plant elements were introduced to emphasize Omu’s environment. The horn-blowing gesture was replaced with an outstretched hand reaching toward the human figure, placing greater focus on interaction as the core concept.
The final version refines visual details and introduces subtle light particles to emphasize the focal point.
Radiating light waves act as guiding lines, drawing both the human figure and Omu’s gaze toward the center.
The main composition was adjusted to a more comfortable scale, and excessive plant elements were removed to balance overall visual complexity.
